# system.kanoa.asset.addAssetAttribute(assetId, attrName, attrValue, userId)

Adds an attribute value for the asset. If the assetAttribute already exists, it will update it.

**assetId** `Integer`: Id of asset<br />
**attrName** `String`: Name of attribute to add<br />
**attrValue** `String`: Value to set attribute to<br />
**userId** `Integer`: Id of user executing the function<br />

**assetAttributeId** `Integer`<br />
**msg** `String` Returns whether the attribute value was added or updated<br />
