# system.kanoa.cmms.deleteWorkOrderEventStatusCategory(workOrderEventStatusCategoryId, userId)

Deletes an existing work order event status category identified by `workOrderEventStatusCategoryId`.
Status categories group individual work-order-event statuses under a broader classification (e.g. "Active" vs "Complete"); deleting a category removes that grouping record.
The database enforces referential integrity, so deletion is prevented if the status category is still referenced by other records (such as work order event statuses currently assigned to it).
