# Lot Functions and Screens

Lot Manager can run any operation on any lot, which makes it ideal for setting up, testing and fixing data. Operators usually need something narrower: a receiving screen that only shows raw materials, or a transfer screen that starts from the asset they're standing at. Focused screens can hide fields, fill in defaults, accept barcode scans, check quantities, print labels and show clear messages.

Every custom screen is built on the same two functions, and creates exactly the same records Lot Manager does.
