Stock Transactions
Every stock movement is a transaction, and the on-hand balance is the sum of them. Transactions are never edited: a mistake is corrected with another transaction, such as an adjustment, so the history always shows what happened and who did it.
| Transaction type | Stock |
|---|---|
| Receipt to inventory | Goes up: parts arrived from a supplier |
| Issue | Goes down: parts taken out for use |
| Transfer out / Transfer in | Moves between storerooms |
| Positive / Negative adjustment | Corrected after a physical count |
In this section you will:
- Receive stock from a supplier and issue parts.
- Issue parts to the coolant leak work order from the Maintenance course.
- Adjust stock after a count, and find parts below their reorder point.
