# Kanoa Ops

Kanoa Ops is the **required foundation** for any Kanoa MES deployment. It provides the core operational structures and execution workflows needed to run day-to-day manufacturing, while also including the **platform capabilities** that ship with every Kanoa MES installation.

In Kanoa terms:

- **Kanoa MES** is the single Ignition module you install on your Gateway.
- **Kanoa Ops** is a licensed Solution within that module that turns on the operational foundation everything else depends on.

## What Kanoa Ops includes

Kanoa Ops combines two things:

1) **Platform capabilities** (common to all Kanoa MES deployments)  
2) **Operations Management** capabilities (the “Ops” solution set)

Kanoa Ops includes the shared platform capabilities that ship with every Kanoa MES deployment. These capabilities are foundational: they support how you configure, secure, navigate, visualize, and extend the system across all Solutions.
