Reference Data

Add the reference data

Navigate to Configuration → Inventory. The tabs across the top cover each type of reference data.

1. Cost Centers: add MAINT / Maintenance and PROD / Production.
2. Manufacturers: add Apex Tooling (code APX) and Norden Bearings (code NRD).
3. Suppliers: add Midstate Industrial Supply, with an account number of CF-1001.
4. UOM: check that EA (Each) exists, and add GAL (Gallons) and FT (Feet).

Reference	Used when
Cost center	Issuing stock: which budget the parts are charged to
Manufacturer	Defining a part: who makes it, for cross-referencing OEM part numbers
Supplier	Receiving stock: who it was bought from
Unit of measure	Defining a part: how it's counted

Cost Centers

Cost centers classify the financial charge for a stock movement. For example, a Maintenance cost center can be assigned when issuing parts to a work order.

To add a cost center click +, enter a Code and Cost Center name, then save.
