Prepare Ignition Gateway

Kanoa MES requires an Ignition Gateway with the Perspective module available.

If you already have an Ignition Gateway installed and ready to go, you can skip to the next step. If not, install Ignition first.

Step 1 — Install Ignition

Follow Inductive Automation’s installation documentation:

• Installing and Upgrading (Ignition 8.1)
• Installing and Upgrading (Ignition 8.3)

This guide assumes a fresh installation, but it does not have to be — you can install Kanoa on an existing Ignition system as well.

Step 2 — Ensure Perspective is available

Kanoa MES requires Ignition Perspective. Confirm Perspective is installed and licensed on the Gateway before proceeding.
