Kanoa Quality is the Kanoa MES Solution for digital quality checks, compliance workflows, and statistical quality analysis. It’s designed to replace paper check sheets and disconnected spreadsheets with an operator-friendly system that’s easy to implement and hard to overlook.

Kanoa Quality is an add-on Solution and requires Kanoa Ops for consistent production execution context (assets, orders, shifts, and events), so quality records stay tied to the real conditions that produced them.

Kanoa Quality combines two things:

1) Quality workflow management (forms, dispatching, execution, signoffs)
2) Quality analytics (compliance performance + SPC and data analysis)

Forms & Check SheetsCheck Sheets are the core building block of Kanoa Quality. Each Check Sheet defines the required data, operator instructions, tolerances/limits, associated assets/items, and approval requirements—think of it as a digital replacement for a paper form.
Dispatching & SchedulingDispatch checks on a timed schedule or based on production conditions such as product change, shift change, mode change, manual trigger, or custom scripting—then track completion and compliance.
Operator executionOperators are guided through checks with instructions and real-time validation so the right data is captured consistently on the shop floor.
Manual & automatic data collectionCapture data manually through forms, or automatically from PLCs, databases, and other sources using Ignition connectivity. Kanoa also supports calculated checks and derived values for more advanced quality logic.
Tolerance managementConfigure engineering limits and control limits and provide immediate feedback to operators when measurements violate expectations.
Signoff & approval workflowsConfigure checks to require signoff or approval by qualified personnel, enabling controlled release and compliance-driven review.
Image capture and attachmentsAttach images from a phone, tablet, or desktop to quality checks to support evidence capture and audit readiness.
Compliance visibilityQuality teams can monitor what checks are pending, due, in progress, complete, or late, and analyze adherence to required checks by shift/asset/check sheet.
SPC & data analysisBuilt-in analysis tools including SPC and histograms. Run Nelson/WECO/custom statistical rules, highlight violations, and filter outliers/junk data to focus on actionable signals.

How Quality works in Kanoa (high level)

  • Create Check Sheets: define required fields, instructions, tolerances/limits, and approval requirements.
  • Dispatch checks: schedule by time or trigger by production conditions/events, then track compliance through dashboards and performance analysis.
  • Take checks: collect data automatically (via Ignition connectivity) or manually through operator entry with validation and guidance.
  • Analyze results: review detail analysis (including SPC) and summarize compliance performance across checks, shifts, assets, and departments.
