Use these questions to prepare for the Kanoa Quality certification exam.
When should you use an item set instead of an item class?
When the grouping you need, such as part families that share a spec, doesn't match the item class hierarchy. Each item can be in only one item set. See Item Sets and Attribute Tolerances.
A diameter falls between the LCL and the LSL. How is it evaluated?
It passes, but is highlighted as a warning. Outside LSL/USL it fails, and outside LEL/UEL it can't be entered. See Item Sets and Attribute Tolerances.
Length readings of 150 and 205 are entered with aggregation Max and a range of 100 to 200. Does it pass?
No. The Max is 205, which is outside the range. See Build the FAI Check Sheet.
A machine enters Production, but no FAI is issued. What should you check?
That Enable Quality Triggers is on for the asset, which needs the asset to be OEE enabled, and that the check sheet is released with a Mode Change trigger for Production. Also allow for the trigger's delay. See Trigger and Notify.
Where does a triggered FAI get its asset and item?
From the production run: the asset that entered Production and the item running on it. See Trigger and Notify.
What does the Check Summary show, and what doesn't it show?
It shows how many checks were Approved, Due, Over Due, Missed, Cancelled or Rejected. It doesn't chart measured values; use Check Details for that. See Analyze Compliance with the Check Summary.
